Finally, promises of cooler temps are on the horizon. When it comes to style this season, it can be a challenge because, let’s face it – on the Gulf Coast, “fall” is just beginning and winter lasts about two weeks after the first of the year.
We’ve partnered with local fashionista Lindsey Mickle, owner of Oh… So Sassy Boutique and Lolly Blossom Designs, for a look into the top 8 perfect must-have items every mama needs to enjoy this season in style! Here are a few staple pieces we recommend.
Long, Lightweight Hooded Cardigan
Pair this light pink long hooded cardigan with your favorite scarf, soft leather earrings and athleisure shoe for the perfect causal look.

The hot pattern to wear this fall? Camo! This look is super cute with jeans or leggings, casual boots and even tennis shoes. Throw on a few accessories to dress up the look.

This comfy beige sweater is paired with black faux leather leggings. Black booties complete this look that easily takes you from day to date night.
Long T-Shirt Dress
This basic knit t-shirt dress is a great day look, especially in this gorgeous brick color. Pair it with your booties, a navy faux suede fall hat and a Lolly Blossom Designs statement necklace and you’re set to go!
Add a little texture to the traditional tunic! This thermal top with waffle texture is perfect for your attire this season.
Get yourself a fall hat! This navy faux suede panama hat is perfect for those not-so-great hair days.
Statement Piece from a Local Artist
Whether it’s a necklace, earrings or bracelet, we encourage you to find a unique piece from a local artist. Lindsey Mickle, owner of Lolly Blossom Designs, hand makes her jewelry. Each piece has beautiful detail and adds sparkle to any outfit.

Fashion Tips from Lindsey
As you shop for your wardrobe, some great fall colors to choose this season are navy, olive/hunter green, wine/marsala, rust and golden brown. Look for textured pieces such as faux fur, velvet and suede to mix with your basics.
Also, don’t be afraid to wear prints in the fall! While at market, camo and leopard prints were everywhere. I realize they have been in trend for a while, but people are still buying them, and leopard print is great even as a neutral. If you’re afraid to wear a bold top, just add some leopard print earrings or a leopard print belt to add something exciting to your outfit.
