We are thankful to partner with Lynn Meadows Discovery Center. We love supporting and telling moms about businesses that will make their Halloween planning fun and easy!
Wondering what your child will wear this year for Halloween? Our friends at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center suggest looking to their favorite book characters for inspiration!
Many are available online, but most can also make for a fun and easy DIY project, which can be adapted for any age.
Hopefully these recommendations will inspire you. It’s a wonderful way for your child to engage with their favorite nighttime stories they love.
PETE THE CAT
It’s easy to be inspired by one of our favorite groovy felines, Pete the Cat: Trick or Pete. For an easy DIY, all you will need is a yellow shirt/sweater, really big buttons (or make your own out of construction paper) and groovy shoes.
Come visit Pete the Cat at the museum the week of February 19, 2022.
CLIFFORD, THE BIG RED DOG
This costume is the easiest for those busy moms! Simply pair a red hoodie with red pants, and cut two red felt ears.
THOMAS THE TRAIN
For those extra crafty moms and kids, they can have fun making the train together!
There’s No Place Like Space they say! Dress your little one up as a Cat in the Hat astronaut for a reading adventure that’s out of this world! Then head over and learn more about outer space in the Sun, Earth, Universe exhibit.
Now that you’ve got some great costume ideas, join us at the Lynn Meadows Halloween Festival!
Come dressed in your favorite (book-inspired) Halloween costume. This socially distant outdoor family fun event will be hosted at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center.
Enjoy trick-or-treating, carnival style games, arts and crafts and so much more! This event is included with museum admission.
