Why did you start Aloha Glamour?

I started Aloha Glamour for my mental health. My daughter, Lauren Taylor, was born and died while I was stationed in Hawaii in November of 2015. My divorce was finalized that December, and I moved from Hawaii back to Mississippi in February of 2016. I suffered from three life-changing losses back to back and I needed an outlet for my mental health. Specifically, I wanted other mothers who may have suffered from child loss to know that they were not alone. I felt alone, afraid, and as if I was on an island by myself and I don’t want any other woman to feel that way.

What do you want your children to learn from you as an entrepreneur?

I want my children to learn that it is possible to do what you want to do in life and be successful. I want them to know that it is perfectly okay to follow their dreams and do what makes them happy.

What advice do you have for moms that want to start a business?

Just start! Baby steps that are taken in any industry can turn into leaps and bounds as long as they stay consistent and true to themselves. Most moms don’t realize that they are already CEOs in their personal lives. We naturally manage the scheduling of doctor’s appointments, school events, sporting activities, etc. We are natural multi-taskers. So why not utilize our God-given talents to make money.

What advice have you given other moms?

I often hear other moms say, “They wish they could…” My response is, “you absolutely can and should.”

How are your children involved with the business?

Chile! I can’t pay my kids to get involved with my business. They will help me package orders, may even pose for a photoshoot IF they are being paid to do so. I started my business in hopes that my children would want to take over buuutttt as of right now, they want no part of it.
